Dear Reader and/or Aviation Buff:I hope you enjoyed reading DEAL and will inspire your friends and family to read it as well. Being an aviation enthusiast myself, I’ve put together a challenge for you. In each of the sections or chapters that begins with a time of day, the time is actually the type identifier of an aircraft. For example: Chapter 3, section 2 begins with 7:27pm. That time came from the Boeing model 727 jet airliner. I derived all other times used in that fashion the same way. Some came from airliners, others from special use aircraft, multi-engine aircraft, business jets, props, or light singles. I tried to use virtually every category and class of fixed wing aircraft throughout the text. A daunting task indeed.
Below you will find a list of all the times of day that I used. Your mission is to identify the times with as many aircraft types as you can. If you can find them all, fill out this form and I'll send you a signed copy of the manuscript (while supplies last).
Good luck,
Michael E. Masotto
